The Emperor Without Clothes

Trump tried to bully the judge, the jury and his rape victim. Now, he must pay $83.3 million for defaming E. Jean Carroll.

After a jury ordered Trump to pay $83.3 million for defamation, E. Jean Carroll vows to donate the money to “something Donald Trump hates” such as “a fund for the women who have been sexually assaulted by Donald Trump.” Carroll accused Trump of using the courtroom as a “campaign stop… using the woman he sexually assaulted to get votes.” Seeing Trump in the courtroom Carroll described Trump as “nothing” with “no power.” She added, “it’s just the people around him who give him the power. Complete and Total Immunity

Trump is on his usual delusions. In his mind, nothing can take him down—not even criminal trials or widely seen recordings circulated from the past couple of years—all under the mistake belief of “presidential immunity”.

During his second defamation trial Trump couldn’t help himself from his usual snide comments and claims of a “witch hunt”, which almost got himself kicked out of the trial. Jean Caroll. The response from Kevin McCarthy and the Republican leadership proves that power and Party loyalty is more important than holding their own members accountable for unethical or criminal behavior.

She Will Not Be Silenced

In acts of extraordinary individual courage, these women are publicly speaking out against the hateful, violent misogyny that defines Trump's GOP.

E. Jean Carroll who is suing Donald Trump said in court, “I’m here because Donald Trump raped me, and when I wrote about it, he said it didn’t happen.” Amanda Zurawski accused Senator Cruz and Cornyn of supporting a Texas abortion ban, “I nearly died on their watch… as a result of what happened to me, I may have been robbed of the opportunity to have children in the future.” Abbey Grossberg is suing Fox News, said Tucker Carlson and his producer Justin Wells, “were responsible for breaking me and making my life a living hell.” And Rep. Zooey Zephyr warned the Republican controlled Montana state legislature that, "If you use decorum to silence people who hold you accountable, all you are doing is using decorum as a tool of oppression.”
